I just made a new friend via Facebook on Sunday.
I sent him a quick text and he read it but replied the next day being Monday morning. The same day (Monday) I saw him as I was walking in the evening. It was dark but he recognized me.He was walking with a friend and as he passed, he gently held my wrist and said Hi and continued walking with his guy – friend. He never stopsI am wondering what does that mean? Also, is it appropriate after being friends for just one day?Ps. Before we were facebook friends he would just pass me on the road and just say Hi . He never stopped.

A good “guess” is that he’s gently hinting around at wanting to know if you like him. If he didn’t ask to exchange numbers or suggest anything about a date, keep it in the friend-zone.He may plan to ask for a date perhaps at some later date and time; but first he’s checking-out the vibe. Don’t take it seriously, it may mean nothing. It certainly is up to you how you want to take it. I just think you should be cautious. Friending on Facebook doesn’t necessarily mean you agree to date someone. If you’re attracted to him, and you’re interested; wait and see if it’s just being friendly. It’s always safe to wait for someone to put their intentions in words. There’s too much of chance you could misread signals; if you judge everything by hints and little clues. He may only be a tactile person, and touches people close-by as a mere impulse. On a first meet-up it means very little.

I would presume that is up to you?DO you feel it was appropriate to touch you? If you told your parents what would they think? In YOUR culture is this OK?And OP, he isn’t your friend yet, you added him as a friend… and sent one text… which he didn’t reply to until the day after. THAT is not a friendship. It might BE a friendship down the line. But he isn’t your friend yet.
