A lot of my friends, I know from my local bar.
After a very bad night where I got extremely drunk, I decided to quit drinking. That was about a year ago and I have not drank any alcoholic beverages since. The problem is I no longer see my “friends”.How do I meet new friends?

Join a travel club, join a gym, take a cooking class, and volunteer your time to help others. There are all sorts of special interest clubs for various hobbies and adventures. If you have a particular interest; go online and determine who has a group or club.Contact your friends and suggest doing things other than hanging at the bar; like going to concerts, movies, or traveling. If you make all your friends in bars, they’ll drink. So find other places of interest where people gather, and be friendly. Get to know your neighbors. If you have a dog, take your pet to a dog park.Unless you’re in some isolated region, live out in some remote part of Alaska, or up in the mountains; you can meet friends just about anywhere. It just takes being a friendly person, and having confidence in yourself. If you’re standoffish and wait for people to approach you first, it might not happen much. These are times when people avoid people who are withdrawn or behave strangely.
